Whitesands Beach can be found on the most south westerly tip of Pembrokeshire, Wales close to the historic city of St Davids. The St. Davids peninsula covers approximately 25 square miles and forms a small part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Due to its remoteness from major cities, the area is quiet during the winter months but comes alive from March to October - a magnet for walkers and surfers alike.
GETTING THERE
By road St. Davids can be approached from two directions: Travelling from the east join the westbound M4 to Junction 49 (Pont Abraham), passing onto the A48 (Carmarthen), A40 (Haverfordwest) and finally the A487 to St. Davids. Travellers from the north may find the A44 to Aberystwyth and the coastal road to Fishguard (A487), a better alternative. Note that St. Davids is in a rural area and subject to increased agricultural traffic during the summer months. By train Trains can be caught to Fishguard or Haverfordwest via Swansea Central. A limited Mid Wales Train service joins the West Wales line at Llanelli.
